This is a project I've been working on since the beginning of summer
It took me nearly 3 months building this microscale Baseball stadium,
as it is the biggest MOC I've made to date with an estimated 1500-2000 pcs
I want to thank lego embassador Audi for "borrowing" the bricks of his workshop
without his generous help I would still at this point probably just be another guy messing with LDD
without any significant accomplishments
The dimensions of the base of the stadium is a 32x32 studs surface,
which is to be honest an awkward size when you want to make a microscale baseball stadium
as it is not too big nor too small ,while keeping it detailed, nicely shaped around the sides and making it feel enormous
makes the whole process of building it much more difficult and complicated.
Why is it much more complicated? That is due to the fact that in order to make the stadium at the same time detailed and recognizable
I had to make choices, where in some parts I have to enlarge the objects(such as the bases of the infield), when in some others I had to further miniatuarize and simplify(such as the seats).
It is thus quite normal if you see parts of the stadium that are scaled differently, it was done purposely.

This view feels great as I felt that the essence of a baseball field's shapes were well executed
Despite the fact that the stadium itself was inspired by several stadiums(Yankees Stadium, Tianmu baseball Stadium, Roger center, Taoyuan International Baseball stadium etc), I'm still confident to say that the shaping of the overall building was still something that I created on my own
throught infinite cycle of building and dissasemblig(refinement)
Different from my other MOCs I've made in the past, this is the first "bigger" MOC that havent been draw(blueprint) before building, so it's a new experience here too
Building process since July:
actually when I began I did not thought too much
I was just like oh i'm gonna do it

The design of the main gate was actually pretty simplistic, which is to me a bit of a shame that I couldn come up with richer details
the main decorations are a few trees and greenary
The baseball bat made of a grey goblet was supposed to be a giant bat sculpture inspired by the one erected in front of Tianmu's stadium
Despite it's small size, the sculpture is actually supposed to be quite enormous in microscale
I decided to use technic panel for the roof cuz it's harder to represent the curves with system bricks
the ticket booths are some cute details that are easily ignored
I made a blimp, which is quite commom in MLB games for publiciting and broacasting.
I originally wanted to make it a dome, but since I thought to myself that if I covered it up no one would be able to see the interior details,
so I decided at the end to make it half opened, where you can at the same time see the exterior restaurants' details and the baseball field's interior details
To me the row of restaurant at the back is a big highlight, I had 4 studs for each themed restaurant,
and I can definitely tell you that it has been quite a fun experience.
Left to right: pâtisserie , bakery, soft-served ice cream store, popsicle store, coffee shop, hot dog booth, fried chicken restaurant(KFC)
(i had a hard time translating the list above plz don't judge)
It's such a shame that most of Taiwan's stadium don't have restaurants

我在迷你化的過程中想要盡量的用多一點NPU(巧妙的運用零件)
I also wanted to feature some NPUs(Nice Piece Usage) in my build
List of NPUs I used:
-I used a blue transparent gem to represent the fountain's water
-the tip of the ice cream is in fact a tooth

At the same time I used the pneumatic T bar to represent the machine you have to get through
that checks your tickets(For the 3 gates, one behind the plate and one down each baseline)
(I can't remember the god damn word in chinese nor in english, (the machine you get through))
The scout's room one the 1st level and the VIP rooms on the 3rd level were built using similar technique(duh)
the lights were made quite simply but it works out quite nicely
In order to represent the bleachers, I used a ton of 1x2 radiator grills in this MOC
Some may say that it is quite a expensive method
but I say that without the excessive use of the piece the MOC wouldn't have the same effect
(sorry Audi, that was quite costly for you ;)
這個作品 稱得上是對microscale(迷你建築)較在行的我的一大突破
To me, this is definitly a breakthrough in terms of microsacle MOCs and MOCs in general:
No LDD, no planning, and using at the end at least 1500 pcs
I was also very lucky/blessed that my MOC was featured by bricknerd :

I guess that you can say that this is a significant milestone for my first year of serious MOCing!
If you are reading this, I want to thank you for reading the article 'til the end
If you like my MOC, you can give me advices or P-dollar(the "points" used in pockyland)
Your encouragements means a lot to me when I create my MOCs.
